Hi! I’m Julia, a Perth-based freelance Photographer, Video Producer and Media Consultant.
After completing a Bachelor Degree majoring in Photography and Journalism, I worked as a Journalist for a couple of years before moving into photography and video production. Since 2006, I have been working as a photographer, and in all facets of video production; from concept and script writing through to filming, editing and delivery of a project.
My first 10 years in the industry was varied, I filmed and photographed aerials from helicopters; mine sites across WA, in the DR Congo, Burkina Faso and Tanzania; communities in the central desert and Kimberly, and produced videos for corporates, businesses, Government, not-for-profits and NGOs.
My focus today is directed towards photography, short video productions and media consultancy that help present my clients in the best possible light.
Tanzania, and our charities, are very close to my heart. I am a Director of Australia Tanzania Society (ATS), a not-for-profit organisation that supports people in Tanzania in the areas of education and health, and I split my time between my business and volunteering to run admin, organise fundraising events, look after the media side – you name it!
I also volunteer for Shutter Paws, a group of volunteer photographers who donate their time to helping foster carers, rescue groups and shelters access engaging pictures of their animals to give them the very best chance of adoption.
